One of the biggest problems in turning with aging eyes is getting enough light to work safely and accurately.  A 500w halogen work-light provides great illumination, however the fire danger is not worth the lums!  Finally found a dental light that reduced the heat problem but had to figure out how to mount it in a small studio space.  Here's my solution:

  • A swivel-arm welded onto a wall-plate solves the problem of how to mount this type of articulated arm.
  • The important features of a dental light are the movement and extension.
  • Got a dental light from Craigslist. This is a older Pelton & Crane model.
